General Description: The position is primarily responsible for performing the general ledger and grant program accounting of the Bank under the direct supervision of the Financial Specialist. This includes subsidiary accounting for investments, loans and grants.
Duties and Responsibilities:  Performs the general ledger, investment, grant, and loan accounting of the Bank. Prepares cash and investment account reconciliations and reports. Prepares and initiates wire transfers on-line. Assists in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements. Assists in special projects. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements: Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting or finance, or comparable analytical work experience in related fields. Graduate or MBA degree is a plus. Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in English and in Spanish a plus (oral and written).
Success Factors Thorough knowledge of finance and accounting concepts. Highly analytical and detail oriented. Accuracy, numeric facility, and ability to assume responsibility for the review of initial financial system transaction data input. Be able to prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communications skills.
