Information Systems Analyst - Job Description

General Description:

Provides operational assistance in Information Systems Management. Ensures adherence to departmental and Bank guidelines and processing procedures, as well as quality control of daily Information Systems operations. Supports the operation of the installed network applications and current desktop computers operating system and installed applications. Supports bank’s web pages, web services and web applications.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Applies updates, patches and monitors applications performance and improvements.
  • Performs daily network server maintenance activities.
  • Supports current desktop computer working environment and prepares the necessary computer equipment and accounts for new bank employees.
  • Maintains the operation, applies updates, patches and monitors applications performance and improvements of the current installed Internet and intranet web pages, local and remote hosting and web applications.
  • Analyzes and resolves automated information systems problems.
  • Maintains and manipulates computerized Bank databases and spreadsheets, and develops spreadsheet and database formats for specific project reporting activities.
  • Coordinates the entering, extracting and reporting of data; ensures the integrity of the bank’s databases; and keeps abreast of all system developments and changes in procedures.
  • Trains other staff in database applications and uses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems with one to two years of experience.
  • Programming Languages: PHP, ASP, Java Script & CSS.
  • Applications: Dreamweaver, Flash (Action Script), Animate/Edge, MS Web Expressions
  • APIs: Google Search, Google Analytics • Knowledge of Windows Networks, Windows Server Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server & SharePoint Foundations.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.

  • Ability to perform assigned specialty disciplines (e.g., task management, database management, operational/editorial assistance, administration, etc.,)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work tactfully and effectively with all levels of office staff. Acknowledged as a team player.
  • Excellent judgment and propriety with regard to Bank financial resources.
  • Analytical ability and resourcefulness in performing varied tasks in the area of functional specialty.
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative.
